The Bank originated as the Anita State Bank, opening for business in July 1876. The Bank had various private owners over the years, surviving the Great Depression and the 1980’s farm crisis. In 1989, the Bank changed its name to Rolling Hills Bank and Trust and opened a second office in Atlantic, Iowa.
In 1995, Rolling Hills Bank & Trust began a period of acquisitions and expansion that helped us become who we are today. Our Atlantic location now serves as the main office for a network of Iowa hometown banks in Adair, Anita, Carson, Casey, Griswold, Rippey, Stuart, and Walnut. We also proudly serve the communities of Worthington and Brewster, Minnesota, and Wheatland, Wyoming.
