Prepaid debit cards are spending tools that have been funded, in advance, by the card purchaser. If a company or an individual gives someone a prepaid debit card (GiftCard), they’ve already applied a fixed amount of funds to each card. Once this amount is completely spent, the recipient can dispose of the card. It is important to remember that each card comes with an expiration date.
